One of the most easily accessible waterfalls in Bali is possibly the Layana Waterfall, located in the east of Ubud.
This is a stunning two-tiered waterfall that can be viewed without any hiking or entrance fee. It actually sits beside a snack bar (warung) where you can lounge in a hut above the waterfall and purchase food or drinks.
I thought the restaurant owner would charge me for visiting the Ubud waterfall, but it's actually free. I haven't tried the food at the snack bar, but I'm sure it's delicious too. Maybe next time!
Layana Warung and Waterfall in Bali
Entrance Fee
Free of charge as of 2024. There is no fee for parking or visiting the waterfall.
They don't even pressure you to buy anything at the restaurant, though it would be nice to do so.
How to Get to Layana Waterfall
The waterfall is located just behind Layana Warung in the east of Ubud.
The best way to get there is by renting a motorcycle or hiring a private car and driver (both options can be booked online).
The waterfall is just a 30-yard walk from the restaurant parking lot. The path near the bottom of the waterfall can be a bit muddy and slippery, so be careful.
