Best Viewpoints on Koh Tao, Thailand

  1. Summit Viewpoint
This is a hidden gem, featuring a swing hanging from a large banyan tree. The entrance fee is 100 Thai Baht.

We were the only tourists there! From the mountaintop, you can witness the magnificent scenery of the southern end of Koh Tao. Check the GPS coordinates here.

  1. Mango Viewpoint
This popular viewpoint near the top of Koh Tao offers stunning sunset views. The entrance fee is 100 Thai Baht (approximately $3 USD).

You can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the distant Sairee Beach and the entire southern side of Koh Tao. GPS coordinates are available here.

  1. South Garden Islands Viewpoint
The South Garden Islands are a pair of small islands located off the west coast of Koh Tao. There are many interesting things to do on the South Garden Islands, but the twin-island viewpoint is the main attraction.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the most famous and picturesque scenes on Koh Tao! You can take a boat from the northern end of Sairee Beach to get here and then hike for 10 minutes to reach the top of the island.

  1. John Suwan Viewpoint
This is one of the best viewpoints in the southern part of Koh Tao. Standing at the mountaintop, you can see almost the entire island, with the two vast bays on either side of your vision.

This is one of our favorite spots! It takes only 15-20 minutes to climb to the top, and the entrance fee is 50 Thai Baht, which you can sometimes avoid if you arrive early.

  1. Twin View Bar & Restaurant Viewpoint
This is a scenic restaurant only accessible via an unmarked (but paved) road on the southern side of the island. Here's the GPS.

You must purchase a drink to enter, but the price is very reasonable. Additionally, it allows you to access another cool viewpoint further along the road, where you can walk through two huge boulders!

  1. Love Koh Tao Viewpoint
This is the original viewpoint on Koh Tao! It's not the best or highest viewpoint (in my opinion), but it's one of the easiest to reach. There's a small food and drink stall at the top, and you must purchase something small to enter.

The road to the Love Koh Tao Viewpoint is not marked on Google Maps, but there's a southern entrance, and the entire route is accessible by motorcycle. Here's the GPS.
